Rolleston District

Rolleston now has a genuine connection with Christchurch

In 2020, Selwyn was the nation's fastest growing district, and was for the six years before that. Selwyn is now the second fastest growing district behind Queenstown. The Rolleston urban area had a population of 17,532 according to the 2018 New Zealand census.

New medical centres, daycare centres, cafes, shops and schools have been built recently to support Rolleston’s population spike. In 2012, there was one primary school; now there are seven schools, including a high school that opened in 2016.
